Washington wine is comprised largely of hundreds and hundreds of small, family wineries. These wineries have all been adversely affected by the outbreak of COVID-19, which has restricted their tasting rooms from being open except for bottle and case sales. On premise sales through the visitor experience is a big part of many business models, especially in places with a large influx of seasonal wine tourism. Many others rely on restaurant sales, which have obviously been paused.Some of the regional alliances in Washington have put together lists of promotions that wineries are running as a result of the outbreak.
